Welcome To Manjusri Public School

Manjusri, the "City Campus" in 2020 shifted to its newly constructed premises in Lower Sichey. We are proud to say that our dreams to establish an institution that imparts quality education came to fruition and in 2019 we celebrated out tenth year!

Manjusri Public School is a coeducational school with two campuses. The City Campus catering to Grades LKG through V is located iLower Sichey, Gangtok. The Country Campus catering to Grades V through XII is located at Temi Tarku, South Sikkim about two hours drive from Gangtok.

We began classes from LKG to Grade V with a total of 67 students. Today, at our "City Campus" we have an enrollment of over 420 students.

Our Vision

MPS will be one of the most respected and regarded education leaders in the region providing progressive education from K-12.

We will be at the leading edge of educational thought and practice and will deliver quality education in a financially sustainable way.

We will honor the rich cultural and environmental milieu in which we live and will uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior and good governance.

Our Mission

The mission of MPS is to provide the kind of education that will prepare our children for the challenges of a competitive global economy as confident, capable and principled young men and women who are able to live fulfilling and rewarding lives. We will do this by creating and sustaining an enabling environment that will foster and nurture a diverse community of inspired life long learners who are unafraid to pursue their dreams. We will be guided in all our thoughts and actions by our belief that “every child can learn”.

In 2013 we embarked on another exciting journey, from the "City Campus" in the heart of Gangtok, to the fresh, green hills of the "Country Campus" in Temi, South Sikkim. It seems like destiny brought us to a paddy field where the foundation stone for the Country campus of Manjusri Public School was laid in November of 2011.Destiny, because this patch of land was once known by the local community as "Schoolae Kheth" or "School in the paddy field". Over half a century ago for want of classrooms student used to gather atop a large rock in the paddy field for their classes. "Schoolae Kheth" is now reality!

It is a mere two hours drive from Gangtok and less than half hour from Singtam. The Country Campus provides for Grades V to XII. At the Campus, student living in the lap of nature while receiving world class education, will learn to be in tune with nature, appreciate the global environmental issues faced by humanity, and seek solutions within their own environmental context.
