15th Sikkim State Open Swimming championship 2019

The swimming team of Manjusri Public School took part in the recently concluded 15th Sikkim State Open Swimming championship 2019 held at TNA. The contingent comprising of 17 students returned with a rich haul of 51 medals, out of which 18 were gold. Four students were also awarded individual trophies for best swimmer in their respective categories. Our achievers are Master Saransh Thapa, awarded best swimmer in the junior category (Boys) Group 3, Master Rikzin Tamang, awarded most promising swimmer in the junior category (Boys) Group 2, Miss Karma Diki Bhutia, awarded best swimmer in the junior category (Girls) Group 2 and Miss Ahalya Winona, awarded best swimmer in the junior category (Girls) Group 3.



CBSE Eastern Zone Schools Athletic Meet

Manjusri Public School fielded 6 athletes at the 2019 CBSE Eastern Zone Schools Athletic Meet held at Chhattisgarh from 3rd September – 2nd October, 2019. Over 118 schools and 650 athletes participated and tried to win laurels for their respective schools and state. The athletes of Manjusri Public School did the school and State proud by bagging 5 gold and 3 silver medals.

The medals were won in the following events: • U19 Boys 1500m Gold won by Master Rohit Bista • U17 Boys 5000m Gold won by Master Karma Gyaltsen Bhutia • U17 Boys 1500m Gold won by Master Elan Hang Subba • U17 Girls 400m Gold won by Ms Akriti Gurung • U17 Girls 800m Gold won by Ms Neuden Lama • U17 Girls 200m Silver won by Ms Akriti Gurung • U17 Girls 1500m Silver won by Ms Trishna Sharma • U17 3000m Silver won by Master Elan Hang Subba The Manjusri Public School team was led by Mr Sonam Thsering Lepcha and Ms Binita Bardewa. Our heartiest congratulations to the students for their sterling performance.



Manjusri Public School students renovate a classroom in the Government Primary School, Upper Tanak, Tarku, South Sikkim

Manjusri Public School students and Homeroom teachers (Mr Sonam Dugyal Bhutia and Mr Rochak Mukhia) of Grade IXA took the initiative to paint and decorate the LKG classroom of the Government Primary school in Tanak, Tarku South Sikkim. The LKG class was also provided with new tables and chairs, floor carpets, play equipment and learning resources. Funds in the amount of Rs.50, 000 were raised by students and teachers who organized a school fete, and the project itself was part of the school work education program. The work of cleaning, painting and decorating was distributed among the twenty-three students, supervised by the two Homeroom teachers. The renovated classroom was handed over to the government school on 2nd of September 2019 in the presence of the School In charge and students from both the schools.
