Annual Sports Day, 2024

Manjusri Public School celebrated its annual Sports Day on 9th October 2024, with Ms. Kunzang Lhamu Chungyalpa as the chief guest. The event commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a spectacular march past by the four school houses—Phoenix, Basilisk, Hippogriff, and Centaur. The chief guest then administered the oath-taking ceremony, officially declaring the Sports Day open. The day’s events began with a well-coordinated drill display, followed by an impressive Taekwondo demonstration by the students. The athletic events kicked off with the 400m race for divisions A, B, and C. In addition to track races, there were class games held for students up to Grade VIII, keeping the excitement alive. The program continued with the 200m and 100m races, followed by the same divisions. A special highlight of the day was the participation of alumni in a separate game, along with games for parents and teachers, making the event truly inclusive. No Sports Day would be complete without the traditional relay races, and this year’s event featured an exhilarating 4x100m relay for the participating divisions. The event concluded with a triumphant victory march by Hippogriff followed by the announcement of Phoenix as the House of the Year. The day gracefully wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks, marking the successful culmination of Sports Day.
