Manjusri Public School Shines as Sikkim’s Pride, Wins Wild Wisdom Global Challenge Quiz 2024
Students of Manjusri Public School have brought immense pride to Sikkim by winning the prestigious Wild Wisdom Global Challenge 2024, organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The event, held at Don Bosco High School in Guwahati, saw 180 schools from across the country competing under the theme of “Reptiles” to inspire a deeper connection with nature. Manjusri Public School stood out as the only school from Sikkim to take part in the competition. The challenge consisted of five stages. The journey began with the Classroom Challenge on August 26, 2024, where 30 top students were selected. This was followed by the School Challenge on September 11, 2024, which narrowed the field down to the top two students. Finally, the State Level Challenge, held on October 23, 2024, featured eight North-Eastern states, where Manjusri Public School emerged victorious as champions. The school team comprised of Kyorzang Rikchen Bhutia and Hissay Chenchok, both from Grade VIII. The students were accompanied by Mr Sonam Tshering Lepcha. Their exceptional performance has earned them a spot in the National finals, set to take place in Delhi. If successful, the duo will represent India at the International level.
This achievement has not only filled the School with pride but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for other students to explore environmental education and conservation. Sikkim eagerly awaits the next stage of their journey.
