Green Campus Program- The climate Reality Project India and South Asia
Green Campus Program (GCP) is a flagship program of the Climate Project Foundation which was started with the sole purpose to transform the conventional school campuses into green campuses and in the process inculcate the values that brings about behavioral changes amongst the younger
generation making them more planet-sensible.
Manjusri Public School firmly believes in sensitizing its students about the importance of the environment as well as inspiring them to turn into Champions of climate change. This flagship program was an ideal opportunity for the School to move forward with our environmental mission. Along with a host of other schools across India; Manjusri Public School, Sikkim in the year 2022 decided to be part of this mission. After going through rigorous training and with two enriching years of working towards meeting the environmental goals set by the GCP; the final data was sent for evaluation in 2024. When the results were announced on October, 2024 the thrill and excitement of being awarded the ‘Silver medal’ for the Green Campus Program-2024 was joyous moment. This is only just the first step and the School is extremely motivated to reach all the goals set by the Green Campus Program in the years to come.
