National Reading Day Observed at MPS

On 19th June, MPS proudly observed National Reading Day to commemorate the legacy of P.N. Panicker, the father of the Library Movement in India. This day is celebrated nationwide to encourage reading as a regular habit and to highlight its vital role in lifelong learning and nation-building. To mark the occasion, a special D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) session was held during the morning assembly where students and staff paused their routine to immerse themselves in reading. The quiet yet powerful session aimed to inspire a love for books and reinforce the message that reading is not just a skill but a gateway to knowledge, empathy, and growth. MPS remains committed to nurturing curious minds and fostering a culture of reading among its students.
