Manjusri Public School Visit to Gurudwara & Monastery

Manjusri Public School recently organized an educational visit to a Gurudwara and a Monastery with the purpose of helping students learn about Sikhism and Buddhism, promote respect for all religions, and build empathy. At the Gurudwara, students were given a guided tour where they learned about Sikh beliefs and values, with a special focus on the principle of 'Seva'—selfless service. They had the opportunity to interact with members of the Sikh community, which gave them a deeper understanding of the faith and its practices. At the Monastery, students explored the rich history and unique architecture associated with Buddhism. They participated in a short meditation session, which helped them experience a sense of calmness and mindfulness. Conversations with the resident monks offered insights into their simple lifestyle, daily routines, and spiritual discipline. The visit was a valuable experience that encouraged students to appreciate different religious traditions and embrace the values of tolerance, kindness, and inner peace.
