A Proud Moment for Manjusri Public School: State-Level Recognition in Bhutia

On 30th December 2025, Mr. Phurba Bhutia, our Bhutia teacher was felicitated by ‘Bhutia Kyarab Yargay Tshokpo’, a prominent NGO based in Makhim Gangtok, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to academic excellence. The honour was conferred upon him following the exceptional performance of our student, Ms. Migma Cheki Sherpa, a resident of Rangpo, East Sikkim, who secured an impressive 94% in Bhutia in the CBSE Examination (2024–2025) . The felicitation ceremony was organized to celebrate the achievements of meritorious Bhutia students across the State. As part of the recognition, the students were awarded a cash prize of ₹10,000 each along with a felicitation certificate. Mr. Phurba Bhutia was also honoured with a certificate in appreciation of his dedicated mentorship and academic guidance. This occasion marked a historic moment, as it was the first time in Sikkim that a private institution such as Manjusri Public School received such a prestigious recognition. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Venerable Sonam Lama from the Ecclesiastical Department, whose words of encouragement inspired both students and educators present at the event.
