Fire Safety Awareness Demonstration Conducted at Manjusri Public School

Manjusri Public School successfully organized a comprehensive Fire Safety Demonstration Programme on 5th May 2026 in collaboration with the Fire Station Ravangla. The awareness session was conducted by Station Fire Officer (SFO) Mr. Surya Parsad Sharma along with his dedicated team members, with the objective of educating students and teachers about fire hazards, emergency preparedness, and essential safety practices. During the session, the fire personnel explained different types of fire hazards and highlighted how such incidents can occur in daily life. Special attention was given to household safety measures, particularly focusing on LPG-related hazards, which are among the most common causes of domestic fire accidents. The team demonstrated preventive measures, proper handling techniques, and immediate steps to be taken in case of gas leaks or fire outbreaks. The firefighters also conducted practical rescue demonstrations, showing participants how to respond effectively during emergency situations. Advanced German-made firefighting equipment and safety tools were showcased, providing students and teachers with valuable exposure to modern firefighting techniques and rescue operations. One of the highlights of the programme was the live fire control demonstration, where participants witnessed real-time methods of extinguishing flames safely and efficiently. The session was highly interactive, encouraging students and staff members to ask questions, participate actively, and volunteer during the practical exercises. The programme proved to be an informative and engaging learning experience, strengthening awareness about fire safety and the importance of preparedness in protecting lives and property.
