A Noble Step Towards Sustainable Water Management and Spring Recharge
Manjusri Public School, Country Campus, has launched a two-day programme on “Sustainable Water Management and Spring Recharge in School and Surrounding Community” in collaboration with the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (GBPNIHE).
Held on 29–30 August, the programme introduced students to springs, groundwater, watersheds and the importance of conserving local water sources. Twenty students were trained as “Para-hydrogeologists” to study and document water sources in and around the Temi area.
The initiative aims to connect classroom learning with real environmental challenges and encourage students to become young ambassadors for water conservation, while promoting greater community participation in sustainable water management.
